Hi Jake!

I don’t “do” ships, but I sure hope you get what you need! Glad to see you posting again!

Bill

Thankee!

PDF files of the Airfix instructions can be downloaded from the Airfix site.

Wasa and Victory are available but not the other two. The files are over 5Mb.

Edit: If the Heller HMS Bounty is the re-release of the Airfix kit you can also get the instructions at the Airfix site.

http://airfix.com/cs/shop/pdfsearch.asp

At the moment I can only access their site through Firefox. Some problem with cookies but more likely my firewall.

I can help you with many if not most of the Revell Ships. The 36" Constitution and Cutty Sark definitely. The 16" golden Hind, Spanish Galleon, and Mayflower. The 18" Charles W. Morgan, Flying Cloud and Stag Hound. I also may have an extra copy of the 24" Constitution.

The Instructions that I do not have multiple sets of, I will send you copies of them. Just give me a street address or PO Box.

As a Florida Native growing up and living in Orlando and DeLand, i know about hurricanes. I have lost track of the number of hurricanes that I have gone through.

Takecare,

Jim

Preussen
Amerigo Vespucci (In Imai box, but the kit is Heller)
Royal Louis (Has a bunch of my notes on it if you don’t mind)

1/150 Cuttysark (Monogram)

Hey Jake,

I put the word out on Steelnavy, maybe those guys can help too.

I have exactly 2 sailing ships in my collection…a Pyro Santa Maria and an Academy Gorch Fock in 1/350 (or thereabouts).

Sorry I couldn’t be of more help to you.

Jeff

Hi Jake,

Sorry for your losses with Katrina. My best wishes for everything to get back to “normal” for you as soon as possible.

I build primarily steel ships, but I do have two plastic sailing ship kits in my collection. I can offer you the instructions for the Revell Charles W Morgan and the Heller Victory. I see several have already offered these, but if you still find yourself needing them you are more than welcome to them. Just send me a note at oz1998@cox.net and I’ll copy and send them off to you.

Good luck !

Ted

Jake,

Sorry for your loss. I was deployed to New Orleans in my LAV and it was a heartbreaking mess. I do have the Lindberg Jolly Roger and Captain Kidd instructions. Let me know the best way to get them to you. I would imagine you are in need of the decals as well. I will be printing some decal sheets in the near future and I will include a scan of my decals also, if you like.

Devin

Jake,

I’ll be happy to scan the instructions from the Revell Golden Hind (the one you were kind enough to sell me some months back). I can either e-mail the scans or print them out and mail them. What’s your preference?

By the way - I’m actually on the verge of starting that kit. I’ve been compiling info on rigging of the period and cleaning up the workshop. (I won’t claim it was in as bad shape as yours, but it desperately needed shoveling out.) The more I look at the kit, the better I like it. It’s a beautiful reminder of the days when model companies issued kits that were far, far better than they needed to be.

I am in for the Heller 1/50 Chebec. Mine is the Aurora/Heller which should be the same. Where do we send the correspondence to?

Jake

Good to see you on the forum again my friend.I’ve got the Zvezda instruction sheet you need.Plus if you don’t get any of rest let me know.I thought I send you a copy oy the instruction for the Imai Chebec when I send you the Golden Hind a month or so ago.

Rod

Jake,

I can get you the Pamir instructions. PM your address. Sorry I don’t have any of the others.

Jtilley: It would be good we had a repository of scanned-in plans and drawings of plastic historic ship kits (provied copyright laws are not infringed). Especially all the rigging stuff. I have canceled the project of building the Mayflower from Heller since the rigging is scrupulous simple to say the least. I do not have the ability in order to make a better rigging based on the book Wolfram zu Mondfeld. The book would not help me. The kit shares one of the simplest rigging ever seen in plastic kits. Currently I am working on the “Le Glorieux” from Heller. It has 870 parts and rigging is a lot, lot, lot more sophisticated. Btw: Anyone from Austria or Germany reading this: you can obtain the Mayflower from Heller for EUR 30,- (it cost EUR 50,- when bought new) from me (at the moment it is on the internet auction platform www.hood.de). Drop me a note. Or does anyone know of a scheme/source for rigging the Mayflower from Heller? I would like to see the rigging scheme from the Mayflower Revell kits. Regards, Katzennahrung

Hi: Let me ask: are you still searching for the plans of the Santa Maria 16" from Revell? If yes I could have a look at home and see whether I still keep them. Btw: Which plans from the Revell Cutty Sark you are looking for? I have the Revell Cutty Sark quick builder kit. Regards, Katzennahrung

Jake that’s quite a fleet. You listed galleon more than once under “Revell”. If one of them is the 1/96 version I have the Man O’ War (1/96 scale) instructions and the galleon rigging plan sheet. About 95% of this is the same for both kits. If your decal sheet got wet, I have the sheet for the galleon main sail with the “big bird” on it. I also have lots of parts from both kits in 1/96 scale except for hull halves and decks. The yards, masts, pin rails, blocks, etc. are identical, so if you are missing parts I might be able to help. I move that big box out of the way all the time but I hate to toss good spare parts.

Jake;

I emailed you a couple of times but no reply.

If you publish your email address here I’ll send you a file to try out. Can’t add an attachment through FSM.
