"Nearly home boys, nearly home" or "My Lanc at last"

Thats awesome

No sincere tribute to valor ever need to apologize or qualify… Not that your Lanc needs to! Super job, Amigo.

Hmmm… today is the 6th of June. Rings a bell, eh?

Here’s a link to a memorial poem my brother wrote. I think y’all might appreciate it. http://www.smellysmleshooters.net/whiskey.htm

Great job Simon U! a very worthy build, even with your own ‘supposed’ problems. we are our own worst critic. I’d be more than happy to have a build like that! The cliffs of Dover is a nice touch.[8D]

Well done Simon U. Definitely a build to be proud of!!! [tup]

One hint that I can think of, the propellers, why aren’t they turning? Where are the aerials ?

Other than that, It’s a very good job, a very good job indeed !

Valid points indeed Vance I had thought of placing small electric motors in the nacelles and wiring up from the base through the tube so as to have turning props. I couldn’t find small enough motors though and was too impatient to delay the build and look further afield. As for the ariels I was using a book on the 2 flying preserved Lancs which didn’t show them and didn’t have a period photo showing them. Again not enough effort on my part!

Fantastic job on the Lanc, Simon, well done!

Regards, Dan

Great poem indeed I like the fact that both sides are represented thanks for the link.
