Our club, Victoria Scale Modellers, participated in a hobby display at a local mall last weekend. In the three days of the display we had rain, wind, fog, a little snow and glorious sunshine. When the sunshine came through the glass ceiling and hit the dios it had a rather dramatic affect. Here are some quick shots I took. You might recognize some of the work of Kelly and sasd. I hope you enjoy and all comments welcome.

Holy crap Bugsy, they all turned out really well, Russ’ sherman looks stunning under the sun, some great shots taken!

I’m glad that some people know the true gifts of natural lighting. Some figure painters believe that they have to paint shadows onto a figure or diorama, when all they need is just plain ole light. There is a GOD! Oh BTW great pics.

Bugsy. You have the experts touch. Out standing dioramas. I am just getting started after thirty years of doing no model building. I am going to start a dioramas in a very short tim. I just finished up four air plain models and want to try my meger attempt to do a German tank ( TAGER 1 ) with assorted figures and maybe one other vehical. Again, an out standin job. I hope mine turns out as good…Tony/N2GVB

Hey those sure look great. The natural light and the snow seem to be the way to go. I live in Nanaimo, how far does your club stretch its arms. And are there any other shows comming up? [(-D][wow]

Thanks for the remarks, I’m begining to get the hang of my coolpix. Our club will be doing another display at the Naval museum on the base in Victoria March 12 & 13, in support of the tourist in your home town weekend.

Our club meets on the second Monday of every month at the CNIB building here in our fine city. Check out www.vsm.bc.ca for more info. We actually do have a member that comes down from Nanaimo too, so come on down! (Long live Bob Barker! LOL)
