Napa Super truck

hey got bored of my other builds and started on this one lol

since its a DEI truck I couldn’t resist using the cool valve cover decals.

I swapped out the quick change rear end for a 9 inch.

seat detailed

I have glued in the engine now.
for my braided hose I use solder and stretched sprue for the fittings.
in the engine bay I will add heat shielding to the lines. and where I dont I roll the solder on a file to give it the braided texture

Looking good!

Hi JT! Another exciting build coming along nicely! [Y]

AWESOME looking build so far. Can’t wait to this built. I specially like the Valve convert with Dale Earnhardt Sr. signature. Great detail. [Y][Y] [t$t]

I will mask off and paint the yellow later on today hopefully.

WOW! That’s a radiant blue! [H]

Do you use oil paints to do all your shading, staining, etc.? I’ve always painted a darker base coat and then painted lighter coats on top. Your method seems so much nicer and easier (at least if I’m correct in my assumption.)

thanks, yeah I use oils or acrylics depends what the part is. I paint stuff like painting a figure.

Ive since added more shadow and highlights on the roll bar padding to

What do you typically paint with?

acrylic base colors mostly for there fast drying

sprayed on the yellow stripe

decaling started!

Coming along nicely.

Another boring question - Do you mostly AB your smaller parts or brush paint them? You’re finishes are always so clean.

I spray paint everything if its simple colors like black or metal finishes. airbrushing if i have to mix up a color, but ya i dont brush paint anything

just starting to add some weathering
