My wish list for 1/35th scale...

Bell 206B Jetranger and 206L Longranger.

I mean, c’mon! Probably the most widely used civil helos ever! Sure there are models of the JR in 1/72, 1/48, and 1/32…but with the mass interest of 1/35 becoming more popular by the day, do you think that we will ever see these in 1/35th? Heck, a model of the LR doesnt even exist (that I know of…!). Now that I think of it, I’d love to see a 1/35th Bell 407 eventually as well…but for now, I’ll wait for a 206.

Any thoughts?

Rob

I always would like to see the 1/35 helo community expand. Personnally would like to see the following in 1/35:

CH-46E
CH-47
CH-53E

Wouldn’t it be possible to convert MRCs 1/35 Kiowa into a Jet Ranger?

Dragonfire - Dude, I didn’t know you could read minds!

I thought it was more of…“Great minds think alike”.[:D]

Yeah, throw in a Little Bird that you can actually find, and you’d have my list, Dragonfire!

To continue the list…once the “dream team” is complete, all we’ll need is an additional 3000-5000 square to our respective domiciles to park the Air Wing.[:D]

I, personally, would like to see those listed as well as for Academy to do a new and better AH-1G Cobra, UH-1D Huey, SH-2 Seasprite, SH-3 Seaking, HH-3 Jolly Green Giant and an Enstrom F-28 and F-28T. ALL in 1/35, of course.
Now before I get flamed for the Huey and Cobra. These are two versions that need to be addressed as the current offerings are really lacking.

A nice big Gazelle and of course - a Lynx (AH and HAS) - and a Wessex.
Does anyone do a 48th Merlin?

chopperfan: You read my mind!!

The SH- series is far too overlooked! Also nice would be a better TH-55 or hughes/Schweizer 300A/B/C/CB/CBi and Schweizer 333.[:p]

Along the same lines, I would like to add, some crew dogs for all of the above helos. Not just fixed wing make-overs, genuine helo personel and ground crew/maintainance figures, again in 1/35.
Even some spec-ops and calvary figures, seated, loading/unloading and standing would be nice!

Too true, chopperfan. There aren’t a whole lot of choices for crew, are there? And it wouldn’t be too much of a stretch for some operators to go in the back as well.

Ditto on the single engine Cobra (I’d like an AH-1F/S). Another helo overlooked that could be done from a current series is the SH/HH-60 Sea Hawk.

Others I’d like to see;
CH-47D with the options for the MH-47E
A good AH-64A/D Apache, along the lines of Hasegawa’s 1/48th scale kits.

My [2c],
Albert [:o)]

Chopperfan and Lemonjello: Bulls eye with the helos and the crews![#ditto] I know we’ve seen a lot of posts looking for helos crews in 1/35 and the search/converstions get frustrating.[banghead] I wouldn’t mind a UH-1H in 1/35…I know there’s not much difference between the UH-1D and UH-1H. [:D]

Alby: For the Sea/OceanHawks…another good addition.[:)]

Maybe Chief Owl will read this. There’s plenty of demand but no supply. As this list grows…I’ll need 5000-7500 additional square feet.[:D]

I was thinking someone, maybe trumpeter, could release a MI 12 or a MI 26 in 1/35…

I was just looking around the office/hobby space and thinking that I need more shelves, especially once I get some of these helos built. Then I’ll need even more room if some of those listed here ever get made. Dragonfire, I don’t think 5000-7500 addt’l feet is that far off the mark. What are you going to do, though? The kids have to sleep somewhere.

LJ. I got 2 little words for your predicament.
Pup Tents!!! [tup] [tup] [^] [:D] [;)]

Lemonjello…Chopperfan’s on the something there. Either that or hammocks.[:D]

Heh, I think I’d be sent to the tent before the little ones, and to be honest, I’ve had enough of sleeping on the ground to last me for a while.

But, I could put some more shelves in my son’s room, and move some models over there, as space becomes tight in the office…that might do the trick.

Are there any models of the Longranger available?

See my post from this evening. Would appreciate if you could assist.

Q

you do know that this thread is 4 years old right?

And the CH-47 has been done in 1/35 scale by Trumpeter And I think the CH-46 isn’t that far behind.
