My Vietnam tank ...

I had to make a model of my tank in the 2/1 Cav in Phan Thiet, Vietnam in 1968/69. Then I made our M88, named “Hemi Under Armor.” Both 1/35 kits benefitted with the AFV linked track sets and the hull numbers are chartpack rub-ons.

Looks pretty good. Any chance we can get some more pics?

Very nice Nam hardware!!! Not much weathering but tons of extra details. [tup]

Nice looking builds ,i agree we need more pics.

Looks good from here.

[:D]hi great builds,need more pics and mud.[:D]

Great job on the builds.

Two very nice builds. Very clean! I agree, some more pics would be welcome. I’m assuming the M88 is the AFV club kit. What about the tank?

Nice work! More pix!

I’ll take some more shots … the '88 is indeed from AFV and the tank is our classic Tamiya M-48A3 with a few mods like the .50 cal atop the cupola and mantlet shroud added.

Nice work Bob! It’s always great to see a fellow Vietnam vet showing his stuff here on the forum. Semper Fi, Mike

Nice work-even better that’s it personal.

Dan

Nice job!

the second one looks like a very interesting design, good building!

That’s me in the turret before I got old and fat … LOL!

Very nice builds. Thanks for sharing.

Nice builds, like the clean look

Good job on both! There’s nothing like building a peice of personal history

awsome stuff man! I Built a 1:48 F-4E for my dad for Father’s Day… did an exact replica based on the pics he had of him standing next to his in the "Nam! It’s always nice to see personal touches added to the model! It just makes it THAT much more realistic, ya know! Good stuff mate! I wanna see more pics for sure!
