Hey guys, this is my first completed build in awhile. Ironically, it’s the latest one I started. I really needed to move this off my bench, and the Spirit so I can start on my P-51A. Anyway…
This is Tamiya’s Buzz Bomb. It came with a Glostor Meteor on clearance at the LHS. I spent like $25 on it. So I decided to build this as a test bed of sorts. I used blue tak to mask it, charcoal chalk to “weather” it, and silver pencil to make chips. Now I know, I know, these things never saw service long enough to get chipped up. I kinda wanted to represent a bomb that had traveled a lot and had some “rough” handling. When I build the meteor, I hope to have it hang in the LHS so it looks like the meteor will knock the V-1 out of the sky. Here’s the pics. Tell me what you think!
Thanks guys, hope you enjoy!
Great job! I like the panel lines. Nice![tup][tup]
Thanks for sharing

Thanks Zip! I personally think the panel lines came out a little dark. I probably could have spread the dust around a little to give more gradient. Now it just kinda looks like green BLACK green lol. I stole the method from Jon and Rob. I think a little tweaking is all I need! Thanks for the compliment!
I like it. I think this may be the first V-1 I have seen on the forums. Its a good change.
I’m going to have to try it. I like the way the weathering looks, I just have to get up the courage to try it. Your look just fine from here.

That looks great- very cool. I think the panel lines look great- cool technique, huh?
Sure is Jon! I think my P-38 will get that treatment, as well as my Corsair. Maybe even my P-51A!
See i know i should of keeped it to myself[:D][:P] It looks good man i realy like it. But for the life of me i cant find any stores that carry blue tac out here.
Office Depot, dude! Or any office supply store. Found it near the Dymo tape, if i remember correctly. Failing all else, I’ll send ya some!
Shoot i tryed office max and staples, dont think we have an office depot here in Az nor can i find dymo tape that stuff has been discontinued out here its suposed to work great for re-scribing panel lines.
Well perhaps I’ll have to get some for ya[:)]
That would be much apreciated, not to mention my B-days coming up[;)][:D][:P]
