My studio Scale Klingon Battlecruiser build

Here are some pictures of my recent Captain Cardboard Klingon Battlecruiser build. Studio Scale. I contacted Gary Kerr to get the colors correct(part of the fun for me, is to get my work as close to the filming miniature as possible!).

These were taken at my local Hobby shop while I was picking up supplies!

Captain Cardboard? I take it that is a paper model? I’m going to have to look that one up.

It looks good.

So, what are the correct colors for a early D-7 Battlecruiser?

NOT CARDBOARD…That’s just the name of the Garage kit company that produced this kit.

It’s resin with a brass rod in the “neck” for stability.

The kit is loooong out of production and no longer available unless somthing pops up on ebay.

Thanks!

Beautiful. Looks close to the size of the original filming miniature.

You need to do a video of this and your 1/350 USS Enterprise

That is awesome

Yes, that is the way I remember it from the show, light blue all over, nice and clean

I recently built the new Polar Lights 1/350 version. It calls for a very complicated camo paint job, for which I bought a set of vinyl masks. There are three colors involved with this, and it looks kind of cool, but I am now having second thoughts about that. I kind of like your paint job. I wonder where that camo idea came from. I don’t recall seeing it in any of the movies.

And the colors for the TV version are?

That can darn near pass for a screen cap.

Many Thanks!!!
