This was last week at Salt Lake, and it was blast; no regrets going. I wish I would have took some more pics but that is alright.
This was best small prop event. My Fw-190D is far left, but I didn’t win anything(they were too good).
Here is best small jet, mine are the Mig-21, F-18 and Me-262, but I still didn’t win.
Finally, I won something in an adult event, my Monogram B-29 took second place.
There were other fun things to do also, Great Models owner sold a bunch of new releases.
I would have loved to have bought the Raptor, but $80 no way.
The fun part; winning the medals. Last time I went home empty handed, but this time I got First,Second and Third in Junior Aircraft. First in Junior Armor, and Second in best large prop. I also got the special award for the best junior modeller.
I am really glad I went, I was interviewed on a TV network and learned a ton of techniques from the masters. Well that is it, thanks for looking.
Good to see our fellow forum members taking home more than pictures from contests. Did you buy raffle tickets? Cheapest way to increase your stash and a way of getting into kits you may not think to purchase.
Get outta here!?!?!?!? CONGRATULATIONS bud on a fine job and of course the wins!! So which aircraft did you receive the models for and you also entered the dark side, I mean armor?
OOh you even got your feet wet by entering an adult catrgory!! Drew, I am very impressed… Way to go!
Win or loose, it’s all about the fun, experience and most of all, meeting great people… By chance do you have a club near buy that you can join? I mean a local IMPS club?
Nice job on your builds especially your Mig! What kit is that? The B-29 is top notch
Andrew great job!! I used to live in Utah and entered models in that contest. It is a big contest and you earn an award there. I walked away with some 3rd places and a second. I now live in Craig not too far from Vernal. Keep up the good work I would like to go and see the contest again in the future. Keep building and have fun!!!
