My Schwalbe...

I posted this over in the Diorama Forum, please check it out…

Fade to Black…

Blackwolf, that is excellent! The aircraft and the setting, just superb. I particularly like the tools scattered about the workbench. Very natural.
Good descriptions of your materials and processes, too!

That ol’ Monogram kit never looked so good![:D]

Very nice, kick the tyres and light the fires!
I’ve thought about doing the Tamiya 262, but like all (I think) other kits of the aircraft it has moulded in slats. On the real thing they should droop down at rest.
Did you ever see the Discovery series Wings of the Luftwaffe? The one on the 262 actually shows a mechanic adjusting the slats so they fall out more easily.
How can the manufacturers miss something so obvious?
Maybe we should start a new thread; Obvious things that they missed!
Pete

Yeah, albert, we’ll call it the OTTO thread!! [:p] (Oblivious to the Obvious…)

Thanks, guys. I had a helluvalotta fun doing that stuff, and I still have to finish it off…

Fade to Black…

Go for it, it could take over the whole forum!

Very, very nice. I keep wondering how you acchieve the nice gradual blending fade in the panel line wash.

I have met the Master. This grasshopper CANNOT take the pebble from your hand. MAGNIFICENT JOB ! ! !

Say, the old Revell kit is the only game in town for a 1/32 262, right? Too bad…Hasegawa has one, but it may be Revell’s kit repackaged. Never looked closely enough to see if it said Revell anywhere.

But seeing Blackwolf’s great job on the Monogram Schwalbe reinforces the fact that it is the artist, not the canvas, that dictates the masterpiece!

Aw c’mon guys, I already have a problem trying to fit my Dad’s trademark Watkins Glen camo Bush Hat on this head of mine…

Seriously, thanks guys. Thanks 2 much!

Hulk, the Hasegagme 262 is their own and not a repackaged Revell kit, thank goodness! And while it’s not too awful bad, I’m hoping they continue their trend of newly tooled 32nd Luftwaffe stuff. Hint-hint, wink-wink Mr. H!

Hulk, get on the horn with Mr.H and let him know I want a totally new braille scale 262, would’ya? THANKS! [:p] LOL

Heck, they did it with the 190…

Fade to Black…

Will do, Blackwolf![:D]

I oughta give the 1/32 Hasegawa 262 a chance, then.

But with the way Hasegawa seems to be going, they just might do a new Schwalbe.

I mean, c’mon, they’ve already done two Bf-109s and a FW-190, an Me- 262 is the next logical choice!

I’ll lean on Mr. H to get the desired result![:D]

Good deal!

I’m counting on you, Hulk. We’re ALL counting on you…

DO THIS ONE FOR THE GIPPER!!! [:p]

Okay, I’ll shut up now…

Actually, I’d like to see a new 109E in 32nd, and a P-40. But I think we have 32nd Hawks coming from two other sources.

Fade to Black…

Chinese sources, perhaps?

Trumpeter I think has a 32nd Hawk slated, and there are rumblings about AMtech possibly doing one. Only rumblings, though.

With their 48th Hawks coming next year (hopefully!) and several unknown 32nd kits announced, one could only hope that, with their association with Tamiya, some of the latter’s practices would rub off. That is, scaling kits down. Or in this case, up… We’ll see, and we can hope and throw speculation about!! LOL
