My Revell A6M5 Build (WIP)

Here is my build (wip) of the Revell Zero reintroducing me into the hobby. I’m building this oldie OOB, no aftermarket, maybe a little bit of scratch building, we will see. I’ve posted a little about the project already in this thread: Reintroduction to modeling, Revell 1/32 A6M5 Zero

Anyway, I think I’m happy with the cockpit, it’s a pretty poor representative compared to the Tamiya Zero out there that I’ve been drooling over since starting this but it is OOB like I said. The colors may be off as well, as my instructions are in Spanish and I am mixing my own colors with Vallejo paints and going off of reference photos. At first I thought I would stick the pilot in the plane but have since decided to skip him and do an opened cockpit layout, which brings me to the possibility of scratch building some seat belts, back in the day I remember using masking tape, cutting it into seatbelts and painting them to color. Any other ideas?

C, nice work so far. The CP looks great. Great job so far keep the pics coming.

I like your progress so far! Color looks good from here too. [tup]

You can use the lead foil from around the neck of wine bottles for seat belts. Looks good and sits a little better I think. But some folks still swear by masking tape, as it has a bit more texture to it.

Nice work on the Pit. Keep us posted as you progress.
