4-channel RC Tank Panther, made in Russia, just recently painted by “Art Instructor”. With Tamiya’s MF-01 Multi-Function set (from its Tiger I 1:16), this tank has real Maybach engine sound. [;)]
More pics in my latest page - to be announced tomorrow. [;)]
WOW, ive driven one of these tanks for a few minutes at a model show a few months ago, do you reckon it would be road legal?!?! how much was it in total, ive always loved big tanks but big tanks=MASSIVE price tag!! ah well, maybe someday!!
zokissima, the tank was made in Russia. The body was made of carbon fibre. The roadwheels and tracks are steel ones. Running on 7A12V battery, total weight is 30 kg. Powerful enough to haul a Toyota Corolla (with a little push at the start).
Nicely done, but a bit short on detail.
$3,000 USD?
I’m not sure it’s the same kit, of course, but on Armorama a while back I saw an incredible build of some kind of fiberglass-bodied (not carbon fiber) 1/8 Panther kit from Russia or somewhere around there…looked a lot like the kit here. It cost, if I remember correctly, about $300 USD. The guy tore it apart and essentially rebuilt the whole thing into a flawlessly accurate RC model that fired blank 22 rounds.
Anybody know what I’m talking about?
I’m entirely too lazy to go over to Armorama and dig it up…
Alek, here’s a pic of the tank with two of my nephews :
Larry, the tanks run very well and it’s very powerful. Nobody dare to stand in its way…
J-Hulk, I don’t know the difference between carbon fiber and fiberglass. Mine maybe fiberglass too, but it’s definitely not $300. It’s 30 kg, the air frieght from Russia costs
more than that already. I just visited the site that I bought my tank from 4.5 years ago.
