My latest addition AV-8B Harrier II Plus, Australian Navy "What if".

Hi guys. I have been busy in the group build threads of late, and one build in particular took my interest… So much so, I started and couldnt stop!.. The GB is a “what if” build that started out just for Australian RAAF Aircraft, but eventually ended up covering all forces… As I am usually a theme builder, I usually stick to a certain subject. But over the last few months, I have wanted to model a Harrier, but never had the opportunity to…

So with the talk of Australia maybe looking at a few new carriers that may host Harriers if purchased, I then decided to go for it… Here is the result… I decided to stick with the plain grey scheme for the navy bird, and chose the dark markings, rather than the colourfull markings of the past Australian Navy Skyhalks…

PS… This is the latest Hasegawa 1/72 kit .

Very cool.

Nice looking Harrier Chris. AV-8B wears the 'roo well!

Great looking build. Thanx for sharing.

I’m amazed at how quickly you can turn these kits out, and the level of quality that you have. Nice looking widowmaker.

Thanks for the comments guys!..

Well I guess the speed comes in because I exclusively model 1/72, so things that you would notice on bigger builds dont show up, so I can miss alot of stuff… In saying that, I have ordered and am waiting for the Academy 1/32 F/A-18C… That will most definately take me a few months to complete… I will want that to look like the real thing… As for the speed of building my other kits. I usually have a few going at once, so I guess it does seem like I do alot very quickly… Anyway, I am really happy you liked this one!

Nice work, man! Your combination of speed and quality is indeed impressive!

Very nice build. Keep up the good work [:)].

Regards, Rick

Looks great!

Awesome looking build, as always Chris!!

As you all probably know Australia came this close to buying an HMS Invincible class carrier. But the Falklands War put a stop to that.
