Hi again. Yep. Back again with another furfilled project. The project is as always a kitbashed and heavily scratchbuilt model of the MK48 Logistics Vehicle System (LVS). I modelled only the traktor and left out the trailer. I think I’ve done a pretty good job of it.
It always amazes me what members can do. That is an excellent job of a subject that I have no familarity with. So thanks for clueing me in to that. Well done and thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the comment guys. Yes, the base model is an italeri HEMTT. Everything else is either scratchbuilt or taken from other kits. Mostly the engine is heavily scratchbuilt along with the grill, back extension and other small additions. I had built this over ayear ago, for those who can remember but did not like the outcome. So I re-did it and I seem to like this one better.
I only built models that are not often seen. That way, I’m the only person that has it. There is no kit available, at least not to my knownledge.
Thanks J-hulk. Interesting it sure is and was fum to build. I love the compact look of it and being not a model you will find any where else I decided to go for it.
I spent a lot of time in an LVS. We drove them while our unit was in Iraq. I always wanted to build a kit of the one I drove for my Father in Law. I noticed that there weren’t any LVS kits available though. It definitely looks like you did a great job on this, I am very impressed
Thank you Ben. I’m happy you approve. I had also build the trailer but wasn’t too happy with the look of it. I’ll try again at another time. I’m kitbashing/scratchbuilding another project.
