My first time

I am building monograms OS2U Kingfisher. Its the first I’ve brought to near completion after a 20 year break. I’ve learned alot of tips and hints from this forum. My question is this;

I airbrushed a decent paint scheme and put down a nice coat of future. Now my Aztek … (I know, as soon as I can I’m gonna get a different one), tip is clogged with the future, despite the fact that I cleaned it with water until the spray ran clear. Any tips?? thanks to all who have answered my questions in the past. [:D]

Try ammonia

You can also take the Aztec tips apart to clean them. I do it often, and have had no problems in doing so. With Future, I would use alcohol to clean the tips, as ammonia might attack the plastic that the tips are made of. Just be very careful with the metal needle that is in the tip: it’s EXTREMELY sharp, very small, and easily lost. You can also buy new tips at any store that sells Testors airbrushes. They cost, on average, about $10 US. Hope this helps you out.

another way to break down Future is soak the Aztek head in Acetone for about a day, this stuff really cleans the heads very well, but you should first is pull the needle out of the head with the spring-this will garentee you that the acetone will flow into the head and seat and break down the furture
