Your first “real” model? Man I can’t wait to see your second. You have overachived the the aspects of fine modeling with that one. Congrats to you.

Thanks, guys! The pictures flatter the NMF, though. With all that foil, wrinkles were inevitable. I got a few bad ones- I’m just not showing that side!

I kind of got off scot free on the canopy, too. No paint- I used BMF strips, instead. It worked out well, I think. I still dread painting canopy frames. (shudder it fear)

The kit is the Revell Germany kit (I love that company!). It’s really a pretty basic kit. (To keep the cost down, I imagine. $40, on sale!)
The bad things I can say about it- raised panel lines, (no wash. I still need to try that.) the fit of the jet pods is terrible, the pod supports (the diagonal bars on the inside) splay the jets out too much, and they don’t give you enough wing walk decals!
The good things- Interior detail is great on the parts you can see, the clear parts (thought thick) are very clear with a dunk in Future, a HUGE wing box is given, which really helps keep that over 3 ft (!) wingspan from drooping, and overall detail is very good.

In addition to the turrets (as yet unfinished), my own extras are seat belts, buckles (tiny wire twisted with needle nose pliers. Very fun.), and antennas throughout.

I’ll do my best to get some more pics. I apologize for the blurriness of the ones there- we just got a digital camera (still trying to work it), and I’m not exactly a human tripod!

And yes, the ruler in the 3d picture is one foot long. I tried to use one of those little Testors bottles for a size comparison, but it was too small! [:D] Go figure.

This is my entire collection. As you can see, the Peacemaker is the only one “finished”. From left, we have a Dauntless, a Helldiver, a Hellcat, the Peacemaker, a A-17 trainer, and a Hawker Hurricane. Everything’s to scale.
