This model represents over a year of work on my FIRST attemp at a real model (i.e., I made an effort to make it look like the real thing.) And it’s a biggun! (Sorry if the page loads slow. Lots of big pictures.)
This is my first attempt at a lot of things- Scratchbuilding, using Bare-Metal Foil, getting rid of seams, weathering, finishing, and using Future. I think it came out pretty good.
P.S. The green areas on the top are put there by me. Never wanting to build a kit straight out of the box, these are scratchbuild turret bays. The reason this is not finished yet is because I still need to make the turrets. I built one, which you can see on some of the pics, which I plan to use as a master for 6 resin copies (including the nose and tail turrets, a grand total of 16 20mm cannons. Yee Haw!) Still, the plane is done enough to warrent this topic.
wow ! thats great [bow][bow][bow][bow][bow][bow][bow][bow][bow][bow][bow][bow][bow][bow][bow][bow][bow][bow][bow][bow][bow][bow][bow][bow][bow][bow][bow][bow][bow]
Excellent Peacemaker Lucien[8D] You did a really nice job on that big ole bird! And to think I was suggesting a small ‘in-between’ kit to you just the other day.[D)][(-D][(-D][(-D] I see a really nice german mega-bomber in your future! Judging by how the B-36 turned out, you got what it takes to finish that project.[bow][bow][bow]
Beautifully done! That is great are you sure this was your first serious effort? Makes me want to build something big…now where did I leave that Blinder kit?
She is a real beauty.[8D]
Sweet build! That is a great looking Peacemaker! The interior looks fantastic and the bomb-bay as well. Thanks for the look… I for one would like to see more!
