My 2008 stuff

Hey everyone, I really went full blast this year and managed to get 15 finished…only three below my goal of 18. I’ll learn to live with it. Being retired gives me some extra time for the hobby which helps quite a lot. Anyway, here they are

Zero (1/144 Sweet kit)

A7M2 Zero (1/48 Haseqawa)

J2M (Jack) (1/48 ARII)

Gekko Type 11 (Irving) (1/48 Tamiya)

N1K2-J Shidenkai (George) (1/48 Hasegawa)

A-4M Skyhawk (1/48 Hasegawa…thanks Clyde!)

B-25J Mitchell (1/72 Hasegawa)

F-86E Sabre (1/72 Academy)

IL2-M3 Stormovick (1/48 Accurate Miniatures) I really enjoyed this build.

P-47D (1/48 ARII) With some aftermarket additions these kits can be made to look ok.

P-51D Mustang (1/72 Academy)

UH-1C Huey “Heavy Hog” (1/35 Academy) Silvering attack on this one…rats!

Gustav…No, not that one! (Nitto, scale unknown)

Heinrich (Nitto, scale unknown)

BF109F-2 (1/48 ICM) As you can see, future dio going on with this one.

PS-Actually I have 17 for this year. I forgot about my Roden Gloster Gladiator (1/48) and another 1/72 Mustang (P-51C by Academy) so I’m only 1 short of my goal. Now I feel much better. [4:-)] Thanks for looking. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all! Hope you find lots of plastic under the tree!

amazing looking stuff my friend. Really enjoy your weathering technique on the japanese birds.

Nice work! I like the paint finish on your Japanese efforts. [tup]

Stunning work! Love that little Sweet Zero, and the giant penny next to it. [tup]

1/144 Wow that is unbeliveable [X-)] You have done some Fantastic builds with your time. I have to say my Favorite is the IL2-M3 Stormovick [tup] . All of them are very nice, looking forward to seeing what you build in 09 [^]

Awesome looking work, Tommy! Very well done!

Especially on the Japanese aircraft- you have the old paint chipping effect down to an artform! Sure makes your subjecs stand out that much more![8D]

Outstanding work, you had a pretty productive year!

You really, REALLY need to slow down a bit Tommy…you know I’ve gotta give you crap!

Some really nice work this year. It was good to see it all in person.

Have a great Christmas…

Andy

Thanks everyone, even you Andy [swg]…I appreciate the kind words. Probably not as many next year as I have a couple of dio ideas that I need to take care of while I still can. Ya’ll have some great holiday times. [4:-)]

Are those Machen von krieger (MA.K) (spelling) kits for the scifi? If so there 1/20th scale… I do have to say, you missed alot of the seams, that aside, I like your kits. Kudos on the nice pannels on the 1/144 Zero
