MRP paints, ready straight out of the bottle

Good afternoon all,
A good friend of mine suggested that I give these a try. They are absolutely amazing. No thinning required works perfect straight out of the bottle. I’m painting a camouflage pattern, and after making some adjustments on my pressure, I was finally able to dial it in. I use Testors enamels, Tamiya acrylics, along with Vallejo paints. I’m sold on how well it lays down. Give em a try. You won’t be sorry.

Been using them for several years. MRP and Tamiya are my go too

I recently picked up some of these and have used them on my current build. I agree, they are great. Spray right out of the bottle. The colors I have (USAAF colors like neutral gray and olive drab, as well as yellow zinc chromate) look right to other brands I have painted previously.

My only problems with them are they are difficult to find and they are pricey. Sprue Brothers does stock them, however, but I haven’t bought from them in a number of years. Maybe Kitlinx has them, but navigating their site for paints can be a chore in and of itself.

Their RLM63 looks spectacular on my Legion Condor BF109E. So much so, that i bought a C and a D to do it all over again.

Great paints. I’ve used them for a while. Sprue Brothers does carry them - waiting on a recent order of more Italian aircraft colors I placed earlier this week. They are a bit pricey considering they are already thinned.

What pressure did you finally settle on.

15-17 Psi. Since it’s super thinned already, I wouldn’t crank the pressure up to high, otherwise the Paint’s gonna go everywhere. Good luck!!

That’s the same pressure I use

Yep, that where my pressure stay. Usually the only time I really crank up the pressure is when I’m spaying clear coat. Usually a 50/50 mix, clear/lacquer thinner. I apply several thin coats.

I found if you go any higher, the paint tends to partially dry before it reaches the model surface. 15-17 should be good. I generally spray at 12-15 PSI.

Thanks.

I was shooting a little higher, but will drop it into that range.
