BUT, hear me out, I just recieved for my B-day a brand new Helo kit from the MRC group, and I was wondering about it.
It is the OH-58D Kiowa “Black Death” kit from MRC.
It looks superb-better than most of my tanks in terms of delicacy-my tanks are like what they are-chunks of steel, but this chopper is so delicate feeling.
Anyone know of anything worth mentioning-before I dive in in a few weeks?
Great kit. It looks awesome once done and captures the Kiowa Warrior well. Be carefull with the landing skid cross members, they are delicale and break easily. I replaced mine with metal rod since they don’t really hold up the weight of the chopper, it ended up being a belly dragger. It comes with a great couple of crew figures too. Good luck.
The only problem I had with my " Thug" was not gluing the doors prior to paint. Bad move. The doors on my model didn’t fit too well at the top (near the wind screens) on both sides. I would definitely recommend Futuring the glass. The Pilots look good inside a clear windshield.
Thanks guys-I hope that it turns out nicely. I am very nervous with so pretty a kit to say the least, and I don’t think that I should be with all of my armor experience.
The only problem I have seen so far, is the vinyl .50cal ammo belt, stuck to one of my UNITED STATES ARMY decals and screwed it up-looks like a little tank drove all over it.
anyone know how I can make my own decal?
