Mr. White Putty(Mr.Hobby)?

I just got this stuff and I was wondering how long this stuff takes to dry? Can I just apply it as is on to my model kit?

have’nt used it but if its like squadron it takes a few hours to dry hard enough to sand,should be able to apply it to yer model directly ,is it a two part or just a stinky goop?

It takes a few hours like all the rest. And that depends on how thick you lay it down. It is a single tube stuff and has a very smooth consistancy like melted plastic.

I just found this product recently and it is quickly becomeingh my favortie putty. Sands smooth and scribes well.

sounds like ya have a handle on the putty,i’m gonna look for it at my lhs.the squadron i normally use is the biggest reason i dispise filling and sanding,the stuff is grainy and unless ya spend hours with 1200 or better it still is porus.my guess to fix that i need to get into the practice of primering probably win half the battle.

Marc: is it the “Squadron MMD fast Drying WGITE PUTTY” ???

Greg, this stuff is made by Gunze and WAY finer than the Sq. white stuff. Its like it has no graininessat all.

I just used Mr. White Putty R (don’t know what the “R” means) for the first time. Wow! A bit messy to apply (it can go everywhere — wear old clothes and protect good furniture), but it dries quickly, seems hard like rock but it easy to file and sand.
