More Tank Transporters - AA Super HET in-progress

Here are some shots of the Accurate Armor M1070/M1000 Super HET that I am building for a customer. It is a great kit. My first all-resin kit, I am very impressed. I thought it was going to be a bear, but it wasn’t at all. It is well engineered and goes together easy. I love it. It is huge as well and full of detail.

Wow, looking great.
Great progress.

looks great HeavyArty. Did you add the brass/PE details yourself or do they come with the kit. Accurate Armor sure seems to make some great looking kits…

Brass PE, chain, plastic rod, metal rod, white metal axles, shocks, and steering arms, a huge decal sheet, etc., etc. all comes in the kit (they all should for almost $600.00). You don’t need to add anything to it. It is an awesome and complete kit.

wow! it sound great. At the LHS they have one of the Accurate Armor Transports built on display. it is an incredible looking piece of work!

look forward to seeing more pics!

Looks like you’ve got a good amount done already, HeavyArty. Impressive job so far, to say the least. Thanks for sharing your good fortune at building one of these with us, even if you don’t get to keep it.

Are you using CA or some kind of epoxy to glue it all together? There just aren’t enough adjectives to describe your work.

heavyARTY.
how much will you charge to build and paint this moster? I may have a customer for you. photoetch is not my thing.

Now that is one awesome build Gino. Wow!. Really nice looking kit.

Great build Gino

Good gravy…does that look good, GINO!

Regards, Dan

Wow thats very impressive.

I would love to have this beast built one day but there is no way I would be able to justify spending that kind of $$.

Hopefully somebody will build one in styrene. I would have to think it would be a popular item.

Look forward to seeing how this project comes along.

Wow Gino… nice build. It looks great. And all those things that come together with the Kit, your customer will be very happy. [:)]

Using Superglue for the whole kit. It is working out quite well, and I have already gone through 4 tubes of the stuff. I’ve only glued my fingers together a few times!!

Tomzag,
Send me an email and I will discuss it with you and you can give me info for your potential customer. I’d rater not discuss it in open forum, I’ll just say it is not cheap.

Looking good!

Thanks for the sneak preview Gino! I wouldn’t expect anything less then what your pics have shown? Truly top-notch workmanship. Sure wish I had a rich Aunt who could finance that kit for me!!! I’d love to try it. Keep us posted on your progress it’s pretty fascinating watching you apply your artistic talents to your first hand knowledge of this project. Makes my up and coming Dragon wagon look like kids stuff!! LOL. Semper Fi, Mike

I bet! I’m notorious for being better at bonding my fingertips together than the pieces I’m holding.

Man, that thing really is a beast. I really hope Trumpeter releases a plastic kit.

Fantastic build. I can’t wait to see it finished. Will it be hauling anything?

Nope, no load on it. I am building it for a customer to give as a farewell gift for a commander who is moving on. He wants it left empty, so it will be.

looking good gino, That thing is Huge!
