Picked up this kit for fairly cheaply a while back with the intention of converting it into an A-26K (I’ve had this longer than Italeri’s kit has been out). After looking through the box, I changed my mind and put it into the “to build later” stash.

I decided to put it together finally. It’s a nice little challenge. I am in the process of rescribing all the lines and filling all the necassary holes / spots / seems.

I will finish it as a French Invader, in solid black with the white top along the cabin area, and blue, white, red rudder stripping. Aside from the ridiculously skinny wheels, I think it will look fairly decent next to my other completed kits.

Those wheels are a joke right??? That looks like an interesting build. It’s always fun to build something ooollld every now and again. Heck I have 3 P-61’s in my stash[^] I love that plane! Keep us posted with your progress!

The wheels turned out to be too much for me to accept as is. So I split them down the middle, slapped in a couple slabs of styrene and thickened them up a little.
