im getting to the gear doors and i know they are a pain in the butt. any suggestions on an easier installation?
I’ve built two and never had any problem with the doors. Just test fit left and right first.
thanks swanny, maybe it was just my last kit, but once i installed the doors i had to pry them apart to squeeze in the landing gear.
I really liked the He111 and think that monogram really did a good job on the kit. I wouldn’t mind picking up another one someday soon. Bryan
I’ve simply cut mine from the wheel well bay walls so i can reposition them after assembly. I think this is a much better option as the fit on my was not right at all . The engine to wing join on mine was awful !!! I’ve done quite alot of shimming, filling ,sanding and rescribbing on mine to try to bring it up to speed.I now have a big step on this join(on the top side , but it was as good as i could get it.) and i’m not sure how to get rid of it??? Maybe it was because i joined the top half of the wing to the fuselage first , then the bottom wing half . I have a very nice join line on the top half and quite a terrible one on the bottom. So thats my next job to tackle for this kit. What finish are you making yours "ghettochild " ?I just picked up a reference book for it ( Krzysztof Janowicz Heinkel he 111 vol. 2 ) and its made me quite motivated to finish my kit. Post pictures if you can and good luck with yours also …Peter .
The local Hobby Lobby has them in stock now, at $19.99.

the only major gaps on my last build was where the wings meet the body. i plan on doing a light sand over light blue, based in libya i think.
byran-i pick up my third at the hobby lobby sale. cant beat $10.00. also got the hasagawa kit, which is extremely nice.
