In 1981 while checking out a table of closeout models I remember picking up a Monogram Armor Series box model of a Sd.kfz 223 armored car. I thought it goofy and put it back down. Now I’ve searched ebay for about 3 years and never see it while all the other Monogram Armor Series kits from the '70s are there. Did monogram really release that kit or was I really looking at the 8 wheeled, panzerspahwagen?
[#welcome] Joel. You may be thinking of the 8-wheeled Panzerspahwagen. I built many Monogram kits of the era, and don’t recall it myself. Your comment about goofy, leads me to believe that you/I are correct, for it was definately different. If you care, Tamiya makes a 1/35 version of the 223 and the Panzerspahwagen.
I am almost 100% positive that Lindberg did an off scale (1/32) Sd.Kfz 223.
if monogram did it in those days it probably was 1/32 scale
