Message Follows, Break:

Will be out of the net until Friday PM, and most likely back up and running by Saturday AM…

Break…

Will try to update status once taken from Recovery and put in room, hopefully attended by Nurse Goodbody rather than Nurse Ratched.

Break:

Meanwhile, keep hammering those kits out.

Hmm…

Little late… This a crossover?

I don’t have any problems with it though, and as long as some of the Made Guys (and Gal) agree…

Whattaya say, you Mugs wit’ the Round One badges?

Any of youse gotta problem?

Break a leg boss [;)]

Beaching dolly looks crooked…

Did you get those decals offa 1/48 B-17 set? [:P] Look pretty big…

Also, I see some really wierd colors with the direct lighting… Looks “too” Blue…

What shade of Blue are you using? Remember that the red-bordered insignia was only used for a very short time in (Mid-summer 1943 through Sepember 1943) before the order went out to change the borders to Insignia Blue, as gunners were still “Seeing Red” and firing on friendlies…

Love that kit still… I managed to grab another “White-Box” one offa Ebay, and the High-Tech version as well… Still working on the diorama for “The Rescue of Cap’n Eddie” project.

If you’re intersted, there’s a copy of his book, “Seven Came Through” on-line, which details the 1942 B-17D crash in the Pacific, their 24-day ordeal at sea in the rafts, and finally the rescue from a Navy Kingfisher pilot Lt. William F. Eadie, who taxied some 40 miles of open sea back to a base with Rickenbacker and five others lashed to the wings… (The most severly-injured man, Army Captain Hans C. Adamson, was placed in the rear cockpit with the Radio Operator)

One crewman, Alexander Kaczmarczyk of the USAAF, died and was buried at sea.)

I’ll try to find the link…

It’s also chronicled in a chapter of his auto-biography, “Rickenbacker”…

Close enough to what they’re gonna do… [:P]

Hans let the tool do the work, don’t over exert yusself.

And fergoshsakes make a promise to us to stop gettin thrown down stairs by nogoodnicks who’ll be dead in ten anyways.

Hellcat way good by me.

I just spent a morning tangling up the “Tamiya” vs “Dragon” crowd. Sheesh tie their shoelaces together.

Any mono/rev is a good model.

The Phantom Mustang? Don’t ask. Been a little busy breaking heads myself, but it’ll come.

Yes, I know…[;)] At least it aint your kneecaps and it wont be Dr Vito…

Hammer-

Beaching dolly isnt glued, just tempy to keep the main float off the deck after a clear gloss. I used Tamiya Med Sea Blue, looks darker in the pic...holding it under my florescent magnifier maybe why? The decals are the kit decals, allegedly the markings are from the USS Detroit Kingfisher , Os2U-3 , VCS-1...no year given in instructions. I usually use whatever decals come with a kit and Im the furthest thing from a rivet counter that youll encounter around here so Ill have to take your word on the year. Although, they do date the pre-war scheme as “1942”.

Sounds like an interesting book, I`ll have to get a copy. Good luck with your surgery and get well soon Boss!

Len

Hopefully Nurse Goodbody has you all lubed up and feeling good.

Thats with the new hip of course!

Thanks for the well-wishes, y’all… I’m sittin’ and waitin’ on the anesthesiologist, wearin’ a surgical gown & cap, surgical stockings, no drawers, tappin’ away on my daughter’s lap-top…

Hope there’s a patient library with internet access…

I look like Imogene Coca as Aunt Edna in Vacation…

as HVH says… no pics… it didnt happen… !! we need a Hammer in Gown pic… !! [t$t]

oh… an yes on the Hellcat guy !

good Luck Boss!

just make sure that your trip home from the OR does not look like this

Good luck and I hope they don’t forget the dog either.

Hans good luck and, dont give the nurses too hard a time, as, " they have ways to make you talk "

Hans hope all works work!! Old soldiers are tough,So I hear!! [;)]

Got some work done finally…been too dang busy with the dreaded ‘work’ but here are some shots of the Space Taxi interior …hope to get it together this week.

Here are the modified "Space marines’

Finished the P-61, for now. I’ve developed a real love-hate relationship with it. I’m really happy with what I did with the interior stuff, but the exterior leaves much to be desired. I"m painting up the ground crew now, and perhaps a diorama later on.

Here’s the finished Blackbird (with drone). My brother loved it! He got a big smile on his face and all. He just has to make sure he clears off a space in his room to display it!

if you look close, you can see a bit of variation on the future’d panels. They remained darker even after the flat coat.

EDIT: Does this fix the pictures?
