Just bought this recently and am impressed with molding.I know,I know Tamiya and Hasegawa is much better but also more $$$$
I just finished an old Monogram B-29 1:48.Horrible molding.Have they improved things recently? The plastic seems softer and detail better.
Well, wish me luck.I’m getting back into modeling after 10 years.
Vermont,
Revellogram started making some “nicer” kits around the time the ProModeler label was introduced. Nowadays, however, they seem to be boxing other companies’ kits under license more and more.
Today, if you see a 1/48 ProModeler kit chances are it’s actually a Hasegawa kit. Their P-38F/G/H, A-4E/F, Ju 87R, F4U-5, Ar 234C and F-4E are all Hasegawa, as is their 1/32 Bf 109G. Their Fw 190G, Fw 190D-11 and Ju 88’s are Dragon/DML kits. Their Ta 154 was a kit that was tooled and to have been released by Dragon, but never actually released by them.
Their F-84’s, F-86D, Bf 110’s, Me 410’s, F-15E, Ju 52’s, PBY’s, Do 217E and He 111’s are all original molds and are all rather nicely done.
So if you’ve been out of the loop for 10 years, things have changed a bit!
