Here she is… all dressed and ready to to kill like any good Marine. [:D]
Two and half months work went into his kit and my patients paid off. I am very proud of how this kit turned out thanks to everyone here. I truely appreciate the help and advice I got from everyone. While I cant remeber all your names there are a few who stand out.
Eddie Miller… who sent me the sparrow missiles. Thanks
berney… who sent me an F-18A assembly sheet. Thanks
There was another poster who sent me PE canopy mirrors I forgot his nickname but I’m not gonna forget to say THANKS again.
( Pardon the low quality of the pics, yeah I used the crappy cam. Tried to fix them as best I could on Paint Shop Pro.)
She looks good alot of work must have went into that bird seeing that it is a revell monogram kit but you shure nocked this one out of the park. great work.
Just recieved the Revell-Monogram 1/48 F/A-18C today I won from Birdman and it’s the same exact kit mold as the one I just finished. This new bird will be a Navy bird. Not sure if I will use the decals OOB or an aftermerket set though the decals have color markings for VFA-105 Gunslingers and Low-Vis markings for VFA-113 Stingers. I may do a colorful bug this time. What I am going to leave off this time are the bombs and make this bug a total fighter… all missiles. I’m considering going with 2x AIM-120’s this time on the Sparrow rails and 4x AIM-7’s on wings and natually AIM-9’s on wing tips. I might also add PE detail to the cockpit and might even try my luck at scribing the panel lines.
Thanks Eddie! Got another C Hornet thats going to be a Navy bug this time either VFA-113 or VFA-143 and she is is gonna be all missiles. [}:)] heheheheh. Going to try scribing that bug & get those panel lines to show up.
