379th bomb group was a B-17 unit in the ETO, they had triangle K.
From my research there was no B-29 unit with triangle k, there was Triangle S, N U and I, but no K. And that would be the 58th bomb wing. That being said, this is for WWII, does not count for korea.

You’re correct about the 379th. I had the honor to serve in the 379th as a KC-135 Crew Chief in the 80’s and all of our B-52s and KC-135s had the triangle K.

I understood the geometric-shapes w/letter or symbol were Group rather than Wing markings, i.e.: 509th Composite Group’s Circle/Arrowhead or 91st Bomb Group’s “Triangle A”
