Moebius 1965 Plymouth Hemi Satellite

This is my '65 Hemi Satellite painted with Tamiya TS-50 Mica Blue with a Dupli-Color Light Metallic Blue and Model Master Dark Blue interior, wired Hemi engine, embossing powder carpet, Pegasus Hella and Holli wheels and a wired column mounted tachometer.

Looks good! Good photography too.

Thank you, Don!

I owned a 65 Satellite once. Pretty cars. You did a super job of making this one look stunning. Mine had a Y block 318, not a hemi. That would have been cool.

Thank you Brandon! There’s something I truly like about the styling of the '64-'65 Mopars. Especially the '65’s!

Nice! Dig the color

Dude, very cool! Got to thinking that car design would look great as a convertible, not sure if they made them that way.

Quick google shows a pretty sharp covertible.

So Mike - how did that Moebius kit go together? The Comet I did was superb.

Thank you guys! I thought that the kit went together rather well, but the plastic is still a bit resistant to model glues. The rear panel came off several times. I had issues with the Revell hood scoop coming off the hood of the Moebius '65 Belvedere that I built almost two years ago. I used several different brands of glue and superglues and epoxies before it finally stuck to the hood. I think the paint helped keep it in place. I built the Merc Comet last year as well and I had better luck with that kit. I think the suspension is too high out of the box. Inverting the front spindles helped lower the front to a more realistic height.

Another beauty.

Thank you, OctaneOrange

You keep knocking those Mopar’s out of the park.[Y]

That’s one sharp satellite like the B52’s song faster then the speed of light I believe it’s from the song planet Clair it’s an 80’s thing but well done

Thank you Mike and Nick! The song is Planet Clair by the B52s and has been covered by others as well.

That looks SUPER Mike. Wheel/ tire choice, stance, paint and details really bring out the best in this car.

Thank you Joe! I’m glad you like how this Satellite came out!
