So here we are, diving into our kits!! I have been rushing my kit a little, to get it done in time for the Talent show at our school. So far I have most of the construction finished. My next tasks is to paint the suspension systems, and install them on the sides. So far, the kit is going great!! The tracks, I’ve noticed have a very tight fit, but this may be helpful for fitting large portions of track onto the wheels.
So there’s the suspension and the hull.
Here’s the hull… note the painted jerry can on the back. I wanted to first paint everything and add it later, but as I see now, the holders for the jerry cans are too tight! Now I’m gonna put them all in, and paint the base colour around the crammed-in cans.
Here’s the turret, which I think is the nicest part of this tank (usually is) The machine gun’s ammo box was glued in too close to the gun, and the brackets that hold the gun won’t fit through the gap betweent the box and the gun. So, with that said, my gun can only aim up [B)](which was ok with me)!!!
Last but not least, is what it will look like put together (without paint, duh!). Because most tanks that I’ve seen had those huge spot lights smashed, I am going to add some brokem peices of clear plastic around the rim of the light, to give it that busted up effect. (they probably didn’t break that often, but hey! this one did OK??[;)])
With all this said, I am looking forward to hearing from the others (all two of you)!! Again, if anyone wants to join our group build, feel free to!
Cheerio!!
