Are you trying to show brand new uniforms or more worn ones? There are pretty broad changes to the shades of the woodland colors due to age, washing, sun exposure and the like. A good brown, black, and olive drab or olive green with maybe some khaki would probably do the trick (to be honest, I haven’t worn woodlands in a couple of years, since the digitals were put out in the Corps).
I actually refering to Camo for a Humvee. I was thinking that flat Black, Brown and OD green would do the trick. What has worked for you?
You may want to try this website below. Scroll through this site for color combinations. The four-color patterns as designated in Army Technical Circular document TC 5-200 “Camouflage Pattern Painting” has been replaced by a three color camo system. The three color system is described in Technical Maunual TM 43-0139, “Painting Instructions for Army Materiel” dated 27 July 1988 or later. I know it’s a lot of info but if your looking for exact patterns, check it out.

For vehicles it is called NATO 3-Color Camo. Actual FS (Federal Standard) colors are Flat Black, Military Brown and Forest Green. Testors Model Master makes these colors. Tamiya also has a NATO Colors set. The actual colors on vehicles look much more faded and weathered. Unless they are straight out of the paint shop, they fade quickly. I use Testors Model Masters Enamel Medium Green, Field Drab, and Flat Black for 3-color NATO camo. It gives the more accurate looking faded appearance that the actual vehicles have. Look in my Showcases below to see examples.
OD Green is not the right shade, it has too much olive brown in it.
no need to make things more difficult than they need be. Ours are painted green. Thats it… no fancy color combos…Nato this and Nato that… just green. I’m speaking of our Abrahms. Its darker than OD. I will get a pic tommorow of the color. The rig itself is under a tarp but you can get a look at the chassis/weathering and color.
LOL… i’m such a loser… i thought you were speaking of Tank colors. Don’t mind me I will go back to my padded room
