Hello yall, I was wondering if you guys knew of any us marines from Vietnam, preferably 1/35 that were out there. I am currently carving out a hill for a hamburger hill diorama.
Here’s a few there are a lot more, maybe they could be found other thrn ebay
Look at this product I found on google.com 1/35 Us Soldiers Marine Corps Vietnam War Resin Figure Model
Look at this product I found on google.com Dragon Models U.S. Marines 1/35
Ah thank you! These are just what I’m looking for
Most of the Marines I knew from Vietnam were full-size. However, after talking to a Marine you begin to think they’re larger than life.
Several, actually, and some ROKMC and RVNMC, too. And an Embassy Guard who was there in April 1975.
One thing to watch for in the various kit figures are sculpts that are fast-and-loose with LBE details. And uniform details as well. Marines were in RVN from 63 to 73, and they went through a lot of uniform & LBE issue over that span. So, arm yourself with plenty of photo references.
You can try MasterBox Jungle Patrol kit. Excellent kit with the opportunity to make numerous figures from 4 basic ones.
You might want to look into the 3rd Battalion, 187th Infantry (not Marines), who fought at Hamburger Hill. If you’re set on US Marines in Vietnam, check units like 1st or 3rd Marine Divisions—though they weren’t involved in Hamburger Hill specifically. For 1/35 scale figures, check brands like Dragon, Tamiya, or Master Box.
