Highly unlikely I’ll make it, but one of the Champlaine leaders, Frank B. is a good modeling buddy and a great builder. Look him up.
Hey Ajlafleche, is he from the Plattsburgh club? How often do they have this show? Have you been to them before?
It’s an annual local (as opposed to an IPMS Regional) event but I haven’t been able to get up there. The sponsoring club (Champlain Valley) took a vendor table last year at our contest and did well enough they didn’t need to come back this year. All their I-really-did-intend-to-build-this and it-seemed-like-a-good-idea-at-the-time kits were depleted.
Frank’s the chapter contact for the club. Look them up at http://www.ipmsusa.org/ then Chapter and RC Directory then Region 1. I believe he lives in Plattsburg. His wife often accompanies him to the regionals. Both are very nice folks.
I’ll look him up. When they say they have vendors, does this mean like hobby shops or big name manufactures? I know you said you have not been to this one, but in your past experiences, do you think any manufactures will be there like in the bigger IMPS shows? Just being hopeful.

[:P] Almost ready to leave…yeah a little excited. Trying not to get my hopes up, but still excited. Hope to make some new friends and maybe find a new place to shop for plastic (if there are any out of town vendors)! If anything, I hope to get some good pics of the builds and post tonight. I have no desire to enter competitions, but I sure like checking out others builds. Off to be inspired!
