Model Building Books...

I have seen that Verlinden makes some books on “how to build”
armor/tanks. Are they 3 of them.
Are those any good?
Also, what are some of the best/recommended books to buy such as “building tanks/armor”?
Thanks

the modelers giud to the Tigers a good book by amersham, they also do a sherman one and are going to do a jagdpanzer one
the osprey ones are good

i dont like the velinden ones

FSM do some too

I have the classic Shep Paine How to build Dios and How to build Armor from Kamblach. I also have Tony Greenlands Panzer Modelling Masterclass. These have been really useful over the years.
I dont care for the Verlinden books too much ,either.

Shepard Paine did a real good book that is old, but covers all the basic. It has recently been reissued for $15. It is called Modeling Tanks and Military Vehicles. Sort of a bible to modelers who have been around a while.

I have Tony Greenland’s too. It’s really good. His final products are also really great.

I will be sure to pick those books up.
To tell you guys the truth, I am looking for some books that cover the basics, I am mostly interested in different ways of remocing seam lines and flash, and proper ways of using glue (plastic cement)
I know it sounds basic, but as you know, there is a lot of ways to do it. And since these books are not all that expencive, I was looking to increase my modeling book collection.

I really like Osprey’s “Modeling the SdKfz. 251” as well asd Finescale’s Modeling WW2 German Armor. Both are really good. Shep Paine’s “Dioramas” book is awesome. There is soooo much more in that book besides dios. Its definately worth a look.

I have all of Shep Paines books and they’re as dog eared as all get out.Lynn Kessler’s Armour Dioramas book is a good resource.I kind of pick through them and try stuff and kind of choose stuff that works for me. I also like alot of the Osprey publications, they can be a little vague but the photos usually convey as much as text.[2c]
