Mixing Stynylrez with acrylic paint to change it’s color

I was wondering if people anyone have tried to create a specific color to the primer by adding regular acrylic paints to them. Would it decrease it’s efficiency or ruin it’s quality? I contacted Badger and they said the would forward it to their paint experts, but it’s been a while with no further reply.

Thanks,

Kurt

They make a variety of colors. Don’t know that I’d mess with the chemical composition of the product. You could do a test and find out if it works or not.

In my testing I don’t recall doing this. I can think of a few anomolies you may not want to encounter but I’d be game to give a whirl. Wish I’d seen this earlier I just tossed a tiny batch from todays test, could have stuck a little MM acryl or Tamya in there and see what happened. In reality for me personally I’d probably try artist acrylics, they’re strong pigmented, grip well and mix with most media. But expensive to test with if you don’t have them in stock.

But Tick is right, they sell Stynylrez colors.
