I bought this as an already started. The red paintwork was brilliant, but the original builder had glued the hubs,brakes and wheels together. Although the original car was two tone Red & White I didn’t want to add the white and mess it up.
As a decal printer I always leave a margin when printing, so when I needed a background for a red decal I measured and cut a piece from a white decal sheet.

Thanks Joe, well as a retiree, the cash/budget changes so I look on good old ebay for already starteds, not only to save cash but to get a good deal as some folks are reluctant to buy these as they think, ‘what happens if bits are missing’ but in the main everything is still there and they all they have done is a great paintjob like this one!

Yeah I do the same with finding kits half started or built but need restoring, can find some true gems at a good price [Y]
Nice looking rally car. the mitsubishi looks different without its white panels.
If you’ve got some old kits that you’re not entirely happy with, you can always break them down and rebuild them.
