Mission Model Paints - latest tests and kudos

I was using MMP’s original thinner (sure smells like the now discontinued Createx 4012) with my MMP paints. MMP’s current thinner certainly has some good improvements, much less tip dry; even in our arid and high altitude environment. I did side by side testing between today’s MMP thinner and MMP Poly vs Createx 4011, 4012 and 4030 Poly….my tests conclude that there are significant differences in the way they spray between the brands. MMP thinner and poly are the must haves to get MMP paints to spray great. I was able to use 4012 and 4030 in the past with MMPs original thicker paints…they made improvements whereby their paints are less viscous (sometime in 2021 it seems). Regardless, use MMP Thinner and Poly with their paints …I thin no more than 30% for camo fine lines and mottling and 20% for base coats. I use 10% MMP poly throughout. Initially years back I had problems with the paints and tried all sorts of chemistry to get the paints to spray adequately; just use MMP thinner and poly and you’ll get excellent performance
