Missiles

I’m trying to find out what the different colored bands around missiles represent and if there is a web site the offers a good guide as to the proper placement and colors of different missiles?

Thank you

Neil

Neil, yellow on the front band means a live warhead (or bomb), a blue band is inert (training) and a brown band in the back means it has a live rocket motor. As far as a website for missiles and such, I haven’t seen any. A web search might turn up something. A search for the specific weapons I’m sure will turn up plenty of images. Hope this helps! - Calvin

I have been wondering that myself. I did a quick search on Google and found a neat site on munitions. Its www.ordinance.org/ammunitionindentificationlhtm
After you look arorund that page awhile. Click on the home tab and there is an abundance of info on bombs
