I have three questions about the 1/48 Mirage 2000C from Eduard.
1). From the instruction sheet (no MM or FS references), the closest colors for the French AF schemes look to be FS36320 (Dark Ghost Gray) for the radome, FS36375 (Light Ghost Gray) for the gray portions and FS35164 (Intermediate Blue) for the blue area, all lightened slightly with white for scale effect.
2). Are there any 1/48 aftermarket decals for Taiwan AF aircraft?
3). If I can find Taiwan AF decals, are the colors above comparable?
I have seen decals for Taiwan AF aircraft at a LHS, but I do not recall the brand name. I do believe the line comes from Taiwan and they also cover several other aircraft subject from Taiwan.
Xtracolor makes the specific French colors used for the camo scheme on the Mirage 2000 in enamel if you have access to their paint line. I do not know if they also have the colors in their acrylic line.
I am currently building the old Monogram kit of this plane and have some Carpena decals for it, but all are French except for one Abu Dhabai example. Based on the color photo references I have, there appears to be variation in the radome color. I was planing on using Dark Gull Gray or some other Medium Gray shade.
