Nice! I had to lookup the Roman Nose. How did the Minicraft kit go together?

It was an okay build. Typical of this kit, you have to deal with warpage in the wings. I made things tougher for myself by building it gear up. I have a few more Minicraft C-130s to build. All unfortunately have wing warpage.

Very nice display piece. I really like when planes are displayed in-flight. Your camo scheme looks terrific. The “Herc” is a classic plane who keeps "soldiering"on much like the B-52.

Thank you Tom. The C-130 model now resides with my brother in Texas.

Thanks Douglas. Draw Decal sells them with various decals for a fair price. I’ve been eyeballing them. First need to build my Italeri 1/72 C-130J as a Marine KC-130J Harvest Hawk

Camo looks great on this one Douglas and one has to look really really close to see that the paint job was hand painted. Some good work in this scale. :+1:

Thank you! Since I no longer own the model (in my brother’s possession now), I plan on torturing myself in the future by building an Amodel 1/144 C-130A!

Are those tough builds? I’m gathering that they are by the context of which you described it. The instructions look pretty straight forward from the sheet that I saw.

I have the same question - I really like their catalog and I have their 1/72 EMB-121A1 Xingu II in the stash.

Regarding Amodels, think early short-run kits. They can be built into some very nice models though.

I see now and fully understand. I picked up an MPM Arado 196 years ago. Verrry rough kit but they could be built up into some good looking models.

A modeler friend built the Amodel 1/144 C-123 kit. He said never again!

I’ve had a couple of kits like that. The 1/48 Revell Corsair was a build I’ll never forget. I thought I was going to go half crazy building that thing.
