Miniart Ukrain house

Hi Boys and Girls,

Here is a couple of shots of a destroyed house I’m working on for my next dio. It’s from Miniart. I scratched the entire roof from spruce, evergreen platic, and a coke can. Still have lots of details to add yet. Let me know what you think.

Looks like a great start!

How’s the overall quality of this kit? I bought some miniart figures recently, but i wasn’t to pleased with them [%-)]

Keep us posted!

Cheers, Jan [:)]

Hey Jan,

Over all, I would rate this kit a c-. The directions were vague, and there were some significant fit problems, especially with the roof sections. That’s why I decided to scratch my own roof instead of using the kit’s roof. I think it would be a frustrating kit for a beginner, however, with a little patience, it can be built into a good looking kit. As far as their figures go, I haven’t built any so I can’t comment on them.

hi,

i love all the bullit holes and splinters on the roof beams. Nice touch. I can see something red on the upstairs floor…is this blood???. Good work.

Rich

Hi Rich,

thanks for the compliment, the red you see is a area rug. I still need to hit it with some flat, it’s still a little shiney.

That’s a clever way of making replacement roof shingles. It kinda makes me thirsty.

Great work,

Chris

Great work. Been wondering about some of these Miniart ruins. They are very affordable when compared to resin and ceramic buildings. Still, even with fit problems, its good to see that they can be built into something very presentable. Keep us posted.
