Military sedans WWII

Not long ago we were within the forums speaking about common sedan models. That triggered the thought that I don’t recall 1/35 etc sedans for WWII. They ( Americans) used several, Packard, Ford, Plymouth and Studebaker that I know of. Well I discovered that a company named Roden makes a couple 4 door Ford sedans 1941 and supposedly 38 . The one that interests me is the 1941 4 door Packard. Non are cheap, in the $50 range. Anyone know of any others in 1/35 ?

Ah, 1/35, nuts. I thought immediately of the old car kits from Pyro/Life-Like, which made their way into the Lindberg catalog. But they’re 1/32 scale. I always thought that their kits of cars from the early 40s would work well with the 1/32 airplane kits that are out there. Plus, they’re readily available, whether second-hand or even some that are still in production through Round2.

There are a bunch of civilian/military staff cars in 1/35. Roden, ICM, Bronco, Tamiya, etc, do them. Most are German though.

Ya I knew about the German staff cars. It was just encouraging to see a couple of Amercan 4 door sedan staff car offerings though.

I’ll have to take a look.

I believe Tamiya did a 1942 Ford Fordor.

perhaps Tamiya will release a 1/35 version some day…

Nice one on that 42 Ford though.

I didn’t know Tamiya released the '42 Ford as a separate kit, that’s great! I keep an eye open for the Mustang kit that includes it, but it usually sells for more than I’d like to pay.

Have they released the other cars that were included in 1/48 airplane kits, like Priller’s BMW sports car?
