Military Hobbies Online Store. WOW

Wow, what a great store, I cant belive the selection, and fair prices too. I was wondering if you guys ever ordered from this store before (or eny other online-store for that matter). What condition does the model arrive in? How do they pack the models prior to shipping them?
Another question, is, please tell me what is C.O.D purchase. [:D]

Thanks

I haven’t ordered from this store so I can’t help you there. C.O.D means cash (or check) on delivery. They send you the product and you pay the delivery man.

There pretty handy for those of us north of the border. Canadian prices, cheaper shipping and no slow downs at the border. I haven’t ordered a whole lot from them, but I didn’t have any trouble.

I ordered a DML Jagdtiger from them back in June. It arrived here in Southern California
in five (5) days![:D] The postage only cost $4.50 from Canada. I wish I could say I was as happy with other online hobby stores. The only other store that was even close to being that good was Spruebrothers.com. I recommend both of these!

I have had really good luck with Squadron. Their product arrives in approximately 2 weeks and there are no additional charges. I live on Vancouver Island and their store is in Texas. No problems so far and good selection. I just had something arrive from Great Models and I had to go to the post office to pick it up and pay the gst and duty. I haven’t tried the store mentioned in your comment yet, but if might be quicker if it is in Canada.

i have ordered from military hobbies before. any orders over $50 have free shipping. the kits arrive in a box and i cant remember if there are any packing material, but they arrive without any damage, perfect condition.

Thanks,
do you mean the box box as in only the box the model comes in, or do they pack it into another box?[^]

I have not ordered from them yet, but have been there and would order from them anytime.

I have ordered from them as well. A few months back I wanted a Jagdtiger (before Dragon re-released theirs) and they had it. Quick service from Canada to Pittsburgh too

I should try it out sometime. I don’t like squadron too much as I find their shipping slow and their prices too high…

I agree with one thing on Squadron- their prices are high, but their shipping (for me) is the fastest of any company out there. I get my stuff in about 5 business days (from Texas to Pittsburgh). Must have a lot to do with location

I can highly recommend Dave Scheel and the staff at Military Hobbies. I’ve probably done $2000.00 worth of business with them in the past year and I have never had a missing or damaged item, or any
problems whatsoever with their shipping or service. I live in California and have never had a problem with border issues and my orders are often in the $300.00 range. Give them a try and I think you’ll be very pleased.
And no, I didn’t get paid for the endorsement, although Dave, if you’re listening, maybe we could work something out??..hehehe

I have ordered from them a few times. been very happy with them. I ordered once on a Sunday night and it was at my home on Wednesday.

I even went down to Markham about a month ago foe the first time to check out the store. From Barrie where I am its about an hour drive.

Dave is a great guy, very friendly, and the store and staff is great. I picked up the 251C 3/1 and am looking forward to my next visit maybe this week.

I had quite the chuckle when he was telling me how many mail order clients have alternate mailing addresses in order to sneak around the wife. I think he said some have up to 7 alternate addys for him to send stuff too. ha ha

Now that is a sign of a serious plastic addiction.

I have ordered from them thrice. Very reliable, and free shipping on orders over 50 bucks. The only place I will order from.

Cheers!

Mike

the model boxes were inside another box, meaning there were 2 kits in 2 diferent boxes, and those boxes were in another large box. hope this isn’t confusing[xx(]

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. I really can’t say enough about this place. For those of us in Canada, the prices for the most part are great, better than many other places. FOr those of you in the US, same thing goes. The store is about 20 minutes drive from my house, and the owner is a very nice guy, very helpful and most definitely in love with the hobby. Probably the most knowledgeable guy in terms of models out of any hobby shop in the Toronto area.

What is the website, I can’t find it with a google search?

What web sight are we talking about here? I’m from Nanaimo and it sure sounds interesting.[%-)]
