I’ve just purchased a Trumpeter Mig-19 kit and have learend that the wheel well colors are that USSR blue. I bought the Testors MM USSR interior blue green and was wondering if it was a close match. Anyone have some info on this color?
Thanks.

Yes, ive got that. And yes it does. That s my opinion…[2c]
in reference to your mig-19 kit, most migs within the former ussr service did have an interior color of a green/bluish color scheme, at least with the various types of reference material that i have observed (squadron books and various photos). note that depending on the country that you plan to on referencing your kiy too (i.e. ussr, albania, bulgaria, china etc. etc.) some of the wheel wells were either white or silver (metallic) in color.
I’d go with silver/natural metal colors. I’ve seen very few Ruskie jets (and fewer Farmers) with anything other than what looked like silver gear wells and doors. Those that were painted seemed to be painted in the same color as the bottom of the aircraft. That’s just what I’ve seen, though, and by no means have I seen every MiG-19 built !
Fade to Black…
Got to see a Mig up close once and the cockpit interior was the blue green color and the gear wells were silver natural metal colors.
