Ive seen the Microlux paints @ micro-mark and have heard they are produced by Vallejo. Has anyone used these paints? They are already thinned for airbrushing so could be the same as the Vallejo airbrush ready paints?
$7.35 seems a bit rich to me??

As far as price, it’s 2 ounces, or 59 ml, so it’s the equivalent of about 3.5 Vallejo bottles. But it doesn’t say it’s rebranded Vallejo paint, which means it’s not likely the same, but for people needing a replacement for PollyScale, it might be just what you need.
Don’t assume that two paints are identical just because they are produced by the same company. Paint companies can (and do) make different formulas of paint. The Micro-mark website says they are “blended by” Vallejo “to Micro-Mark specifications.” This tell me the Micro-Lux paints are not identical to Vallejo.
I’ve never used them myself. But they are supposedly color matched to PollyScale paints, which could be helpful since Testors did away with that brand and won’t replace the colors.
The Micro-Lux paints come in two ounce bottles, which is 4x the size of Model Air. By the ounce, this means that Micro-Lux paints are about half the price. Consider that.

In the last few weeks I have come to be educated that acrylic paint technology has advanced considerably in the interum years I was out of the hobby.
From what my son pulled up on U-Tube I saw some incredible work done on model aircraft using Vallejo paints.
I love the fact they are “water” based and can clean up easily and best of all NO SMELL!!!
I recently discovered Vallejo and just started ordering them and plan to start using them very shortly.
