Seems Rick Berry’s been taking customers money without asking permission. He picked on the wrong person by taking $190,000 from Pete Jackson’s(Wingnut Wings) credit card account.
He got to me for over $1200 over a year ago. He knew how much was in my debit card account because only the outstanding checks bounced and not his. He blamed it as a mistake by his book-keeper so I never said anything in case he was telling the truth but as it turns out he’s just another crook.
Glad to hear you were able to recover your money Tony…and now you have a connection, even through negative events, to a famous Hollywood personality! Next thing you know we’ll see your face on the cover of “Us” or “Them” or something! [;)] [proplr]
This is one reason I have a credit card dedicated to online purchases (other than PayPal). I have a low credit limit on the card, $500. If I need to purchase a modeling item over $500, I would have to call my card company and have them temporarily raise the limit, although I have never done so.
This way, if the card number gets used fraudulently, the most that gets stolen is $500 less any outstanding purchases that I made before the card number was compromised.
WOW…I have talked to him too but never ordered anything. I bought once from him on ebay. He seemed like an OK guy.
BUT
So did the Tankrat. So far I got my money back from the credit card but they can reverse it if they cannot get the money from him as far as I know. I wonder when and if he too is going to jail.
That amount of money though is in a whole other league. $190,000…that’s a lot more then the compared to that nickle and dime stealing the Tankrat does. Tankrat only bangs you for $30-50. But I have heard of him doing more.
What made this guy think he could get over and take that amount? He must have been desperate. After reading the story, he was. His dilemma is what is going on though out the country. If you own a business you know. You buy your inventory on credit. If you can’t then you cannot stock your store, no stock, no sales…no sales no money, goodbye home, car and wife/GF. This is a bad time for companies that deal with products that are not necessities. Even the stores that do have empty selves were I live.
I hate to say this but but I had issues now with Great Models and my credit card, I will never order anything from them now.
