Jeff looking at the terrain as you say, do you think an exp. tank crew would let a firefly close enough to do that as you say could be but imho i would say it was from above.
oh btw Jeff did you read the email David forwarded to you

Here is another HUGH thread, covering both VB and Wittmann’s death ride in 007. These guys really did some serious research;

Conclusions concerning Wittmann’s number at VB?
Inconclusive…[%-)]
I dont think we will ever know. I always read it was Kurt Sowa Tiger 222, Wittmann used at Villers-Bocage. Now im working on the AFV Club Wittmann special and it’s saying Tiger 212 was used by Wittmann at Villers-Bocage.This Tiger 212 belonged to his friend and his former gunner Balthasar Woll. So it would make since to use your friends ride and proven gunner, who won the knights cross with you in Russia.Its also said that Bobby Woll was his gunner that day at Villers-Bocage so it might have been 212.
I read one book that stated that Wittman’s tank was most likely destroyed by a Typhoon since his tank appeared to be hit in the engine deck from above. Then I read in another book about how unreported Firefly’s were in the area and took Wittman’s group by surprise. The intrigueing part of researching for a build is what really adds so much to modeling for myself. Even researching less famous vehicles becomes a fun challenge.
Ive got it !!! Take all the numbers…tape them to a cardboard box…get a dart or paintball gun…close your eyes and shoot…whatever you hit is your number. LOL… ok anyway …you have to agree it would work…And you might just be right.
