MH-47E

I saw that 1/72 Italeri MH-47E kit my hobby shop today and lately I’ve been on a “Nightstalkers” kick (MH-60L, MH-6) and I was curious about it. The FSM review of the kit was positive, but is the kit accurate? I thought I read a post saying that the kit was based on a painting?

I just got thru reading about this bird over at globalsecurity.org and it sounds as tough and mean as it looks. And I didn’t know Chinooks could “swim”! (http://popularmechanics.com:80/popmech/movie2/47ECHO.mov)

I’m sorry I can’t help you on this, but I’d like to thank you for sharing the video.
The boat thing is HOT![(-D]
Great idea for a Dio … when and if someone will come out with a 1/35 Chinook.

Well guys!! Panda has 4 versions of the Chinook in 1/35 scale due this year I HOPE !!! And one of them is the MH/47E SOA!!![;)] Lets keep our fingers crossed that Panda will follow through becouse they would be TOTAL IDIOTS!!! not to … Really!!!

[#ditto] (the total idiots part)

Trigger…

The forward & aft pylon’s are a bit too short in scale, incorrect rotors, and the overhead transparencies aren’t shaped correctly … other than that [:-^], it’s an acceptable duplication. Reference the photo link below:

And yes, the Chinook’s are “swimmers”, designed to do so even with the Ramp down.

Take care,
Frank

Cool. Thanks guys.
