Hi Guys - here’s a little MGB V8 conversion that I did a while ago. It’s a 1/24 Airfix kit fitted out with a white metal V8 and other bits, some scratchbuilt.
The body was converted and built up as a real one would be and then fitted out.
Hope you like!
Cheers - Martin

Very cool little MGB. I love it. You did an outstanding job. The badge on the grill is a nice detail. Overall a wonderful model.
I’m curious about the white metal V8. Is there any more you can tell me about it? Is it a Rover engine?
Bainford - yes it is the Rover V8 derived from the Buick (260cu???). It’s actually by SE Finecast from a kit that I made a mess of.

Dave Ellis there supplied me with the wheels and screen from their roadster kit so I’m sure he would also supply a separate engine if you emailed.

Thanks Crasher. They have some neat stuff there. I book marked that one.
Yep, certainly a brilliant job there.
Thanks for the post and the pics as well.
Cheers , Pete.
Nice MGB!
Adds another kit to his “to-get” list
